Dua Seeing Someone in Affliction

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi 'afani mim-mabtalaka bihi, wa faddalani 'ala kathirin mimman khalaqa tafdila.
"All praise is for Allah who saved me from that which He has afflicted you with, and blessed me greatly over many of those whom He has created."
Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3431

Spiritual Benefits

The Prophet (PBUH) promised that whoever recites this upon seeing someone tested (with illness, disability, or trial), they will be protected from that specific trial for their entire life.

When Should I Say This Dua?

Recite silently when you see someone suffering a severe physical or worldly trial.

Proper Etiquette (Sunnah)

Do NOT say this aloud so the afflicted person hears it; it must be said silently to protect their feelings.
